For further information please view the GIM Therapy Course Details and register here.
What is the Bonny Method of “Guided Imagery and Music”?
The Bonny Method of Guided Imagery and Music (GIM) belongs to the holistic traditions of psychotherapy. It is a form of music-assisted therapy, an innovative tool that can be used alongside many therapeutic approaches, with scientific evidence for effectiveness in various clinical fields.
This 3-day seminar and workshop introduces healthcare professionals including arts therapists, counsellors, nurses, psychotherapists, psychiatrists and psychologists and those employed in other helping professions to the basic theory and practice of GIM. A full training in the method will be offered later in 2017 for those who wish to continue. The training focuses on the traditional GIM method but also incorporates modifications and adapted shorter forms of Music and Imagery (MI), appropriate for work in various fields such as psychological trauma, psycho-oncology, palliative care, perinatal psychology, addictions, team-building, etc.
The professional training course of the IMAGEing-European GIM Trainings is endorsed by the international Association for Music and Imagery (AMI).
