USW Inaugural Performance Summit – Registration is live!
An unmissable opportunity to hear from three leading speakers in the performance industry, engage with industry professionals, view demos from event sponsors and tour the new Strength & Conditioning Suite at the USW Sports Park. The first of these events is to take place on Friday March 16th 2018, between 17.00-21.00hrs at the USW Sport Park, Treforest, CF37 5UP.

The first 50 places are discounted at £30, we then have 25 tickets at £40 with remaining tickets priced at £50 (the price includes speakers sessions from all 3 guests, a round table panel Q&A session, demos from our 4 event sponsors, a tour of the new USW Strength & Conditioning Suite and refreshments.

Dean Riddle: Seattle Seahawks Applied Sports Scientist
Dean, a New Zealander has been applied sports scientist at the Seattle Seahawks for the last 4 years. Prior to arriving in the USA, Dean worked in the UK with a combination of sports and teams including rugby league, cricket and football. His various roles during that 20 years included strength and conditioning, sports scientist and performance manager. He has a wealth of knowledge and insights with a unique perspective across four professional sports. A must listen for anyone interested in technology and integrated digital performance solutions.
Dr. Scott Drawer: Team Sky Performance Solutions
Dr. Scott Drawer currently works for Team Sky as part of the Performance team. He previously worked for England Rugby leading the science, medicine and analysis services in player development; and, before this in British Olympic & Paralympic Sport – overseeing GB’s Research & Innovation programme for more than 10 years across 5 different summer and winter Olympic and Paralympic Games. He has a passion for applying science, medicine and engineering to problem solve in applied high performance domains.
Darren Roberts: High Performance Manager Harris & Ross
Darren was in the RAF Regiment as a Gunner & Military Parachutist from 1989 to 1998, before leaving to pursue a career in strength & conditioning. After a period of time as a private trainer, he began work part time with premiership rugby union and rugby league teams. In 2002, Darren began to work with Red Bull UK on various high performance projects with its athletes, where he established and delivered the Red Bull UK High Performance Programme from 2008 until 2013. In January 2014, he joined ‘Harris & Ross’, a large physiotherapy company based in the north of England. He continues to deliver the high performance & sports medicine services to Red Bull UK and their elite action sport athletes, as well as many others athletes from around the world.
