We had an early start on Sunday the 28 January 2018 at the University of South Wales’ Cardiff Campus, the ATRiuM as we welcomed the BBC Studios.
The BBC Studios crew used their creative minds in the ATRiuM, home of our creative industries courses and students, based in the heart of the capital of Wales. The ATRiuM proved to be an ideal location based only 10 minutes’ walk from the new BBC Wales headquarters and 5 minutes’ drive from BBC’s Roath Lock studios in Cardiff Bay, home to the Pobol Y Cwm set. Pobol Y Cwm, @pobolycwm, Welsh language TV soap, is the longest-running television soap opera produced by the BBC.
We know the main reception and The Street (area within the foyer) space is a versatile area where registration, catering and exhibitions can take place, but we were amazed how the building with its amazing spiral staircase through its centre blended its self to be the ideal filming location for an airport.

The Conference and Event Services Team worked alongside the main organisers’ providing a one-stop-shop point of contact for all logistics, security and IT services.
